Dowdy, Clifford, Piffaretti and more qualify for the 2021 Pro Wake Tour

Orlando, FL  (May 24th 2021) – Some of the biggest names the sport of wakeboarding has ever seen will be back on the 2021 Pro Wake Tour Powered by Supra Boats this summer. The judges and the fans have weighed in on the digitally submitted qualifying runs and the field for the first event is set. Leading that field and decisively winning their qualifying heats were Thomas Herman, Mike Dowdy, Harley Clifford and Massi Piffaretti. This is an incredible list of riders for the rookie Thomas Herman to be included in as he is just stepping up this season from Jr. Pro to compete with the Pros.

Between Covid restrictions and injuries many of these top athletes were not able to compete in 2020, but now they are back and you can see them live at the first event in Katy, Texas on June 12th. All of the qualifying riders have been training hard in the offseason and put together some incredible lines in an effort to qualify for the 2021 PWT. It will be an exciting moment for the world to see the level of riding from these iconic athletes.

The qualifiers from this event will go up against the top rated athletes from the 2020 Pro Wake Tour final series standings in the live onsite events this summer. With only one live event in 2020, and a field of returning tour veterans with Dowdy, Clifford and Piffaretti, the wakeboarding community will see who the best riders in the world are as they go head to head for the first time in almost 2 years. Will Rapa and Teunissen remain at the top of the standings or will Dowdy, Piffaretti, Clifford or even a young gun like Thomas Herman, Sam Brown or Fynn Bullock step up? Stay tuned to www.prowakeboardtour.com to find out.
