Teunissen and Swanson Take the Wins - Two New Winners for the Second Stop of the Supra Boats Pro Wake Tour Digital Event #2
Orlando, FL (July 13th 2020) - The Supra Boats PWT Digital Event #2 has officially concluded and Cory Teunissen and Camron Swanson have come out on top. With these new event winners the series standings have tightened significantly as we are halfway through the season. This year’s online format has introduced some new riders to the tour, specifically riders like Fynn Bullock and the Swanson brothers who have consistently made finals in each event.
The 2019 PWT Champion, Nic Rapa also put up an amazing run and had incredible support from the wakeboarding fan vote, but nothing was going to overcome the prowess of Teunissen’s finals run. Cory’s run consisted of a 1260, four double flips and a stylish poked 360. Arguably the most technical competitive run ever completed. Tyler Higham, Shota Tezuka and Guenther Oka also had notable runs in which they balanced technical mastery with prominent control and style.
“Cory’s final run was the best competitive wakeboarding run to date, he opened his run with a 12! It really shows how the riders riding at home in perfect conditions can put up the best moves, making this event super legitimate and super competitive.” Said Bill McCaffray of Alliance Wake.
In wakesurfing, Camron Swanson took down the multi time PWT wakesurfing champion Sean Silveira. Camron’s consistency coupled with some of the most progressive and difficult shuv moves on his skim style wake surfboard, secured his win. Silveira and Connor Burns rounded out the podium and both had impressive performances and strong support from the fans.
“The level of riding that we are seeing on tour this year is incredible. The riders are pushing not only their own riding but the sport as a whole in exciting directions.”
